Job Description
We are seeking an experienced AWS Developer with strong backend development experience using Node.js and TypeScript. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and developing REST APIs and working with AWS cloud services, infrastructure-as-code, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of backend development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience with NestJS or a comparable dependency-injection framework
- Spring Boot experience may be considered as transferable experience
- Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs
- Experience with OpenAPI / Swagger
- Hands-on AWS experience with:
- AWS Lambda
- API Gateway
- S3
- ECS
- Secrets Manager
- Experience with CloudFormation / Infrastructure as Code
- Strong Jest unit testing experience
- Experience working with a 100% test coverage gate
- Experience with Git feature-branch and pull-request workflows
- Experience working with CI gates / CI workflows
- Must be able to work onsite in Malvern, PA 3 days per week
Preferred Skills
- Authoring and versioning internal npm packages
- Plugin interface development
- Playwright E2E testing
- Stryker mutation testing
- Feature flags such as Gatekeeper or similar tools
- OpenTelemetry / distributed tracing
- Honeycomb or Splunk
- Fastify
- Redis
- JWT authentication
- Brokerage/financial services experience, including:
- Order routing
- Trade execution
- Cost basis
- Dexter tooling experience
